Insurance litigation firm BLM has cut 21 roles from its Southampton office following a redundancy consultation.

Thirteen lawyers and eight business services staff have gone as a result of the consultation, the firm said today. A further six lawyers and two business services staff from the office will be redeployed into the large loss catastrophic injury team elsewhere.

In August, the Gazette reported that a consultation was underway which could result in nearly 30 redundancies. That consultation, which closed on 2 October, came just weeks after 50 back office staff lost their jobs....
