Pro bono work can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life for a lawyer.
ABA Model Rule 6.1 says: Every lawyer, regardless of professional prominence or professional workload, has a responsibility to provide legal services to those unable to pay.
So much so that there s an annual national celebration of pro bono that s kicking off from Oct. 20 to 26, called the National Celebration of Pro Bono. The event this year will highlight the need for legal assistance for domestic and sexual violence survivors.
This week, we d like to ask: Do you or your firm have activities planned for the National Celebration of Pro Bono? If so, what are they? And how have you been using your legal skills to pay it forward?
