Varghese Summersett PLLC, the largest criminal defense firm in Tarrant County, has received the 2018 Law Firm Partner Pro Bono Award from Tarrant County Volunteer Attorney Services (TVAS.)

The firm was recognized for its commitment to pro bono legal representation along with other attorneys, law firms, and organizations on Wednesday, Jan. 24 during the 2018 Pro Bono Awards luncheon at the Fort Worth City Club.

“We are honored to have been recognized by Tarrant County Volunteer Services,” said Benson Varghese, founder and managing partner of the firm. “Each year, our attorneys devote 10 to 20 percent of their time assisting indigent Tarrant County residents who can’t afford an attorney. One of the ways we achieve this is by partnering with TVAS to participate in legal clinics. It’s a great partnership and we couldn’t be more proud of this award.”

TVAS is a community service committee under the Tarrant County Bar Foundation that encourages the legal community to participate in pro bono legal services.
